The Will of William Salisbury

 

In the Name of God Amen I William Salisbury the Elder of Abingdon in the County of Berks Corndealer being of sound mind memory and understanding do for the disposal of such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner following (that is to say) ffirst I give and devise unto my son William Salisbury all and singular my free hold ,messuages or tenements situate and being in the Stort Street in Abingdon aforesaid and all other my hereditaments and real estate whatsoever and wheresoever with their and every of their appurtenances To Hold the same unto and to the use of my said son William Salisbury his heirs and assigns for ever Also I give and bequeath unto my said son William Salisbury all m y leasehold messuages or tenements situate and being in the Stort Street in Abingdon aforesaid with the outhouses easements and appurtenances to the same belonging and all such term and terms of years and interest as I now have or at the time of my decease shall have or be entitled to therein either by renewal or otherwise To hold the same unto my said son William Salisbury his executors and administrators and assigns absolutely And to for and concerning All the Rest and Residue of my money securities for money bank annuities goods chattels effects and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore disposed of I do hereby give and bequeath the same and every part thereof (subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expences) unto my said son William Salisbury his executors and administrators absolutely And I hereby nominate and appoint my said son William Salisbury to be the sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said William Salisbury the Elder have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two William Salisbury

Official copy extracted from the Registry of the Archdeacon in the Court of Berks proved at London 4th Dec 1848 Limited so far as concerned all the right title and interest of the said deceased to and in the sum of two thousand one hundred pounds three and a quarter per cent annuities and the interest now and to become due thereon
