In the Name of God Amen I OTTIWELL RYDER of
Leeds Mayne rydeing within the County of Yorke being weake of bodie
but of perfect mynde and Memories praysed be god doe make this my
Last Will and Testament in manner and forme as following Imprimis I
bequeath my soule to Almighty god my Creator trusting through the
merrits of Christ my Saviour to have free pardon and remission of
all my sins and my Bodie to the earth from whence it was taken to be
interred at the discretion of my Wife and other Frends. Item my
mynde and will is that all my lawfull debts be first sattisfied and
Funderall Expences discharged out of my whole estate when done my
mynde and will is that my wife have a third parte out of my Estate
according to the Custome of this province. Item my mynde and will is
that JOSHUA my son shall have another third part out of my estate as
hus Chylde parte. Item my mynde and will is that all my Bretherens
Children have eache of them twelve pence as legacie to be paid by my
Executrix Item my mynde and will is that my brother ROBERT RYDER and
my cosin TOBIAS ILES of Holbecke son be supervisors of this my sayd
will and testament and that they have paid to them eighteen pence by
my executrix. Item my mynde and will is that my sister PRISCILLA
daughter have twelve pence paid her as a legacie by my said
Executrix Item my mynde and will is that ELIZABETH DOWTHWAITE my
Apprentice have twelve pence paid her as a legacie Item my mynde and
will is that ther remainder of my Estate not before disposed be
deivided betwixt my sayd wife and sons Item my mynde and will is
that ELLENOR my wife be sole executrix of this my last will and
testament in witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale
this 29 May 1667
