The Will of Margaret Rowland

In the name of God Amen The Sixteenth day of September in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand Six hundred fifty eight I Margaret Rowland of the parish of St Saviour Southwark widdow being of perfect mind and memory thankes be given to Almighty God revokeing all former wills and testaments by me made do make and ordeyne this my last will and testament in manner and forme following ffirst I committ and Commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker and in Jesus Christ my redeemer hoping by the meritts death and bitter death and passion of my blessed Saviour to have remission of my sinnes and my body to be buried in Christian buriall at the discretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned Item I give and bequeath unto Edward Chittam and Elizabeth his wife my daughter and to her heires the lease of my house wherein I now dwell which I have by lease of Bennet Adams Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Chittam daughter of the said Edward Chittam one featherbed two boulsters two pillowes two paire of Sheetes one greene rugg one pillowe case and a chest of drawers and three pewter dishes Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Lucas the Wife of Edward Lucas one flockebed one boulster and coverlett and one paire of Sheets and five shillings within three monthes after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Susan Tiler one paire of Sheets & all the rest of my moveable goods I give and bequeath unto Edward Chittam and Elizabeth his wife and their heires Item I make and ordayne Edward Chittam my sonne in law my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament unto Edward Chittam and Elizabeth his wife payeing my debts and receiveing my debts and bringinge my body decently to the ground In witnesse whereof I have set to my hand and Seale the day and yeare above the marke of Margaret Rowland
