Abigail Rowland of
Peston in the Parish of
Diddlebury and County of
Salop Widow do make
ordain publish and
declare this my last
Will and testament in
manner following (that
is to say)Whereas my
late husband Thos
Rowlands of Peston
aforesaid deceased in
and by his last Will and
testament bearing date
the Eight day of
ffebruary One thousand
Seven and Seventy Eight
did amongst other things
will and direct that I
should have the liberty
and power of disposing
of ffour hundred pounds
and half the household
Goods at my death to
such person or persons
and in such manner as I
by my last Will and
Testament duly executed
should think proper Now
I the said Abigail
Rowlands do hereby by
virtue of the liberty
and power given me in
and by the said Will of
my said Husband give and
bequeath unto my Son
Thos Rowland one
shilling I give and
bequeath unto my
Daughter Ann Turner One
hundred pounds to be put
to Interest by my Son in
Law Edward Turner which
Interest my said
Daughter Ann Turner to
receive during her
natural life And
afterwards to be divided
equally between the
children of my Son in
Law Edd and Daughter Ann
Turner such as shall be
living I give and
bequeath unto my Sister
Ann Littleford during
her natural life One
pound a year to be paid
her by my Executor
hereinafter mentioned
And lastly after my just
debts and ffuneral
Expences are paid and
discharged I give unto
my Son William Rowland
All the rest and residue
of my Personal Effects
whatsoever And I do
hereby appoint my Son
William Rowland sole
Executor of this my last
Will and Testament In
Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and
