In the nam of God Amen I Peter Roughsedg
of Haddocke in the county of Lancs. Gunnsmith Being Infirme in
Body of but of sound and perfect memory praise be Given to God
for the same But considring the uncertainty of this
Life on Earth and being desirous to settle things in order doe
Make this my Last will and Testament in manner & forme following
And renouncing & makeing void All will & wills by me formerly
made doe declare and Appoynt this to be my last will And as
Touching such worldly Estate as the Lord in mercy hath Lent me
my will and meaning is that the same shall be Imployed and
bestowed as hereafter by this my will is Expressed And first my
will & mind is that my debts and funerall Expennces be paid &
discharged out of my whole goods Item then I Give and bequeath
unto Raph and peter my Tow sonnes the sume of Twenty pound A
peece to be paid when they shall Attayne the Age Twenty one
yeares or to the survivour of them Item the rest & residue of
All my goods & chattells whatsoever I Give & bequeath unto
Rachaell my wife soe Long as shee shall keepe sole chast and
unmarried But if shee shall fortune to marry Againe that then my
will & mynd is And I doe hereby Give & bequeath the one halfe of
the said Goods and chattells before given unto Rachaell my said
wife unto my said tow
sonnes Raph and Peter Equally to be
devided betweene them And of this my present Testament I ordane
constitute & make Robert Roughsedg my Brother and Rachaell my
wife Ex’rs And Richard ............ & Thomas Houghton
to be overseers hereof that the same to be Truely performed as
my Trust is in them In wittness whereof I have here unto put
