In the Name of God Amen I Richard Rothwell of
Aughton in the county of Lancaster Huusbandman Do this fifth day of
June Anno Dni 1732 being weak in Body but of perfect mind & memory
make this my last will and Testament
Imprimus it is my will and mind that all my
just Debts (if any be) my funeral expenses and the Charge of the
probate of this my will be first paid out of my personall Estate
Item I give and bequeath the sum of ten pounds
to the four children of Jacob Lathom of Ormskirk Glazier to be
equally divided amongst them Share and Share alike
Item I give unto Elizabeth Roby Daughter of
Roger Roby of Westhead the Sum of Twenty shillings
Item I give to my Brother James Ten pounds to
be paid to him when he discharges that Bond of Twenty pounds due to
me
Item I give to my Brother Henry the sum of ten
pounds
Item I give to Henry Rothwell Son of my
Brother James Twenty pounds
Item I give to Ann Hale my niece the sum of
Forty pounds
Item I give unto my loving wife Ellen all the
rest residue and remainder of my Goods, Chattles Cattle and personal
Estate whatsoever which I shall dye possessed of
And lastly I do nominate ad appoint my said
wife the said Jacob Lathom and John Hesketh of Knowsley to be
Executors of this my last will and Testament hoping they will see
the same duly performed as my trust in them is reposed
