Notes:
-
Testatrix was the
widow of John Rogers
(b 1628) of West
Compton in Pilton,
Somerset
-
Testatrix’s daughter
Edith (b 1668)
married James
Banister (d 1734) of
Bristol and had two
sons and two
daughters;
-
I’ve been unable to
identify the Russe
family, but Mrs.
Russe was probably
Ann Rogers (b 1660),
the only daughter of
testatrix not
otherwise accounted
for;
-
Testatrix’s
granddaughter
Margaret Bisse was
the daughter of her
daughter Katherine
(b 1663) by her
husband James Bisse
(1654-1707) of
Pilton; she married
Rev Elias Rebotier
(1677-1765), prebend
of Dinder, Somerset;
presumably Katherine
died before her
mother;
-
Testatrix’s
brother-in-law was
Thomas George (d
1692) of Croscombe,
Somerset, husband of
testatrix’s
sister-in-law Ann
Rogers (b 1640)
