The Will of Ann Rofe

 

In the Name of God Amen I Ann Rofe of the parish of Saint Mathew Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex Widow being of good and perfect Memory and knowing the uncertainty of human life do make this my last Will and Testament That is to say first I commend my Soul to Almighty God in hope of Mercy through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ my body to be decently Interred in the Church Yard of the above parish I will and bequeath to my Sister Elizabeth Worthington Part of my Wearing Apparel which is to say three Gowns three petticoats and three Cloaks I will and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Ann Petty Widow all others of my Wearing Apparel together with the whole of my Effects of whatever kind it may be whether in household ffurniture plate or Money at home in the Bank of England or otherwise due to me at the hour of my decease I also do hereby appoint my beloved Daughter Ann Petty to be sole Executrix of this my only and last Will and Testament In Witness whereof we have hereunto put our hands and Seals this twenty eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and Seven
