Robinson Doctor of Divinitie,
and by the sufferance of
Allmightie God Byshope of Bangor
beinge diseased and sicke in
body but whole and perfect in
mynde and memorie (The Lorde be
praysed) Do make my last will
and testament in manner and
forme followinge. Ffirst I doe
bequeathe and committ my soule
to the mercie of the Allmightie
the Ffather the Sonne and the
holy Ghost, and my bodye to be
buried, where and at it shall
please them that shall have to
doe with yt. Secondly I doe give
and bequeath to the Deane and
Chapter of Bangor aforesaid, to
be bestowed uppon the Reparation
of the ffabrick of the
Cathedrall Church of Bangor
aforesaid of neede soe requires,
or else towarde the buyinge of a
bell in the saide Churche Tenne
poundes. Item I doe give and
bequeathe towardes the
maintenance of the Churche of
Conway fyve poundes : To either
of my Churcges in Anglesay (Widolt?)
Emlogh? and Llan Triffiolid
twentie shillinges a piece. Item
I doe give and bequeathe to
William Robinson my eldest sonne
all that my purchased landes
sett lying and beinge within
Broughton in the Lordshippe of
Bromfielde and Wails within the
Countie of Denbigh to have and
to houlde the same with th
appointing? to him his heires
exutons? and assigned forthe.
Item I doe give and bequeathe
the rest of my purchased landes
in for simple with all manner of
rented invensiond? and serviced
thereunto belonging wheresoe
within the Counties of Denbigh,
Daurnatray? and Anglesey to my
wellbeloved wife Jane Robinson
alias Brereton : To have and to
houlde during her naturall life,
and after her naturall life to
my aforesaid sonne William
Robinson and to his heires for
ever. Item I doe alsoe give and
bequeath to Humphrey Robinson my
second sonne the one moytie of
all the proffitte and
commodities that shall happen
and arise of the severall leased
of the Rectories of Llan
Fhainadi? in Diffoneloyd? and
Llan Petroke in Llin, the other
moiety to remain to his mother
my executrix duringe the terme
of the same. Item I doe give and
bequeathe to Herbert Robinson my
thirde sonne the one moytie of
all the proffitts and
commodities of the Rectory of
Conway in the Countie of
Carnarvan and of the Rectory of
Pemon in the Countie of
Anglesey, during the terme of
the sayde severall leased and
also the one moiety of all other
leases that I have for yeares
within Coulvey?, Anlochwells?
and Dunth? in the countie of
Carnarvan, the other moietie to
remaine as afore to my sayde
wife and executrix, Item my will
is that Peres Robinson my fourth
sonne be content with that lease
of the Bishoppe Landed in Twefor?
in the countie of Tindaithney?
and the countie of Anglesay
which I have betrothed on him,
to whom also I give and bequeath
the moietie of a lease in ?
uppon the parsonage? of Llan
Goffney within the countie of
Anglesey, the other moitie to
remayne as afore to myne
executrix provided allwaies that
if my saide sonne, my Executrix
or their assignes come to have
the possession of the saide
Lease and die from tyme to tyme.
During the term thereof ?
quietly without loss or
interruption of the incumbent
there for the tyme being he, she
or they shall make the rent more
reserved, upon their lease, uppe
to Twentie poundes yearely to
the Incumbent. Item I doe give
and bequeathe to my daughter
Margaret Robinson the one halfe
one moytie of all my debtes,
plates and household stuffe
whatsoever to me belonginge
(except bookes) for her
preferment in marriage. Item yf
my wief aforesaide be now with
childe and delivered, and the
childe lyve I doe give and
bequeathe to the same childe the
moytie of a lease that I have of
Trowsroyd in the ? of Poullin
and the Countie of Merioneth,
and the one halfe of all my
books. Item, my will is that yf
any of my saide children doe dye
without lawfull issue his
portion before bequeathed doe
remaine and belonge to his next
brother in age. All other my
goods and cattels before not
bequeathed I doe give and
bequeathe to the aforesaid Jane
Robinson alias Brereton my wief,
whom I doe make my whole and
sole Executrix, to discharge and
paie my ffuneralle and debts and
paie my Legacies and Tutrix or
Gardian over my saide children
and their severall portions
duringe their minorities everie
of them to see them brought upp
honestly. And yf yt shall please
God to call out of this lief my
saide Exequutrix duringe the
minority of my saide children or
any of them my will and request
is that the right worshipfull my
welbeloved Sir Randell Brereton
Knight my wives brother be so
good as to take the Tuition and
oversight of William my eldest
sonne, Mr Thomas Bennett my
loving kynsman ? of Llan Thander
aforesaid, of Humphrey my second
sonne, my loving servant Roland
Mosten gentleman of Herbert my
third sonne and Dorton W:Merick
my Chamiels? of Piers my fourth
sonne duringe the severall
minorities of either of them
praying them to see them brought
upp in the feare of God and
vertue of my trust is in them.
I doe give to the saide Sir
Randell , Thomas, Rowland and
William full power and
authoritie to use and order my
saide children and their
severall portions to the best
proffitt and preferment of my
saide children according to
their discretion. Item I doe
give and bequeath to my sister
Jane Holland of Conway my best
?. Item I doe give and bequeath
to Richard Robinson and John
Burchod my Nephewes and servants
fourtie shillinges and a house a
piece (viz) to Richarde Robinson
my housse called Salesburye, to
John Burched my graye house.
Item I doe give to Gabriell
Burchod my Nephew the Mace I had
of Sir Thomas Williams late upon
Llan Pederkenn? and move is in
Trefod. Item I doe give to
Thomas Lloid my man a goldringe
and fourtie shillinges in money.
Item I doe give to George Potter
my man ffoure poundes and my
request is that my executrix
above named shall consider the
rest of my servants according to
her discression, and helpe them
yf she maie. Item I doe
expressly recall and revoke all
othere former wills and
testaments heretofore made
whatsoe? ratifying this only for
my last will and testament. In
