This is the last Will and Testament of me MATTHEW ROBINSON of North Nibley in the County of Gloucester Yeoman I give and devise unto THOMAS ROBINSON of Hunts Court Farm in the said Parish of North Nibley and WILLIAM ROBERTSON of Binley Farm in the said Parish all that my piece or parcel of pasture ground called the Square Ground situate in the said Parish of North Nibley and containing one acre and a half more or less To Hold to the use of them the said THOMAS ROBINSON and WILLIAM ROBERTSON their heirs and assigns upon trust nevertheless at any time or times after my decease absolutely to sell and dispose thereof either together or in parcels and by public sale or private contract unto any person or persons whomsoever for the best price or prices in money that can or may be reasonably obtained for the same and for the purpose to make and execute all necessary contracts with and conveyances to the purchaser or purchasers thereof or as he or they shall direct And I hereby declare that the receipt and receipts in writing of my said trustees their heirs and assigns shall be sufficient and effectual discharge and sufficient and effectual discharges to any purchaser or purchasers thereof for his her of their purchase money or monies or so much thereof as shall thereby be acknowledged to be received And that the same purchaser or purchasers his or their heirs executors administrators or assigns shall not afterwards be answerable or accountable for the loss misapplication or nonapplication or being in any wise bound to see to the application of or to the necessity or raising the money in such receipt or receipts acknowledged to be received or any part thereof and my will is that they my said trustees do and shall lay out and invest the monies to arise from the sale or sales of my said real estate in their names in some of the public stocks or parliamentary funds of Great Britain or upon real securities in England and do and shall from time to time alter vary and transpose the same stocks funds and securities or any of them in such manner as they shall think proper and I hereby declare that they the said trustees their heirs executors administrators and assigns shall stand and be possessed of and interested in the said trust monies stocks funds and securities and the interest dividends and annual produce thereof and the rents and profits of my said close of ground until sold Upon Trust to pay the said interest dividends and annual produce rents and profits as and when the (Page 2) same shall become payable unto my three daughters ZIPPORAH CLARA and CAROLINE for their maintenance and support until my said daughter CAROLINE shall attain the age of Twenty One years and when and so soon as she shall attain that age or in case she shall die under it then when and so soon as my said daughters ZIPPORAH and CLARA or the survivor of them shall have attained the age of Twenty One Years Upon Trust out of the said trust monies stocks funds and securities to pay to my said daughters ZIPPORAH CLARA and CAROLINE or such of them as shall be then living the sum of Ten Pounds each and Upon Trust to pay assign transfer and make over the residue of the said trust monies stocks funds and securities and the unapplied interest dividends annual produce rents and profits unto my said daughters ZIPPORAH CLARA and CAROLINE and also my children by my first marriage namely ESTHER the wife of JOHN FEREBEE, HANNAH the wife of (blank space) ORGAN, ANN the wife of (blank space) SPENCER, ELIZABETH the wife of (blank space) BURFORD, THOMAS ROBINSON, MATTHEW ROBINSON, WILLIAM ROBINSON, STEPHEN ROBINSON and the four children of my deceased daughter SARAH KING or unto such of the several legatees as shall be then living And I hereby declare my will to be that the shares of such of the said legatees as shall be married shall be independent and free from the debts or control of their respective husbands and that the children who shall be then living of my deceased daughter SARAH KING shall only be entitled to the share or proportion to which their deceased mother would have been if living I give and bequeath unto my said son STEPHEN ROBINSON the bedstead on which I sleep and which formerly belonged to my late grandfather for his own use and benefit I give and bequeath unto my said daughter ZIPPORAH my clock for her own use and benefit and I give and bequeath unto the said THOMAS ROBINSON and WILLIAM ROBERTSON their executors administrators and assigns all and singular my household goods and furniture plate linen and china and all other my personal estate and effects not hereinbefore disposed of Upon Trust to sell and convert the same unto money and subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary charges and expenses pay and divide the same to and amongst my said daughters ZIPPORAH CLARA and CAROLINE in equal shares and proportion And I hereby declare that my said trustees shall be responsible for such monies only as they shall respectively actually receive and not the one (Page 3) for the other of them but each for his own acts respectively and that it shall be lawful for them to reimburse themselves and allow his co-trustee out of the trust monies to use by this my will all costs damages and expenses which they may sustain incur disburse or be put unto in or about the execution of the trusts thereof or in relation thereto and I hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said THOMAS ROBINSON and WILLIAM ROBINSON joint executors of this my will hereby revoking all former and other will and wills by me at any time heretofore made I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament
 
In Witness whereof I the said MATTHEW ROBINSON the testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this and the two preceding sheets of paper set my hand and seal (to wit) my hand to and at the bottom of each of the said two sheets and my hand and seal to this last sheet this Thirteenth day of June One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty.

Appeared personally THOMAS ROBINSON of North Nibley in the County of Gloucester Farmer and WILLIAM ROBERTSON of Kingswood in the County of Wilts. Farmer and alleged upon oath that this paper writing contains the last Will and Testament of MATTHEW ROBINSON late of North Nibley aforesaid Yeoman deceased who died on or about the 28th day of August 1843 leaving goods chattels and credits wholly within the Diocese of Gloucester and Bristol under the value of One Hundred Pounds That they are the joint executors there in named That they will well and faithfully perform the same and render an inventory and account etc.
