In the Name of God Amen I JOHN ROBINSON Bishop of London of sound mind and good memory but at present in great weakness of body do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in manner following. In the first place I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God trusting to be saved through the merits of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ. My body I leave to be buried in such place or manner as my Executrix hereinafter named shall seem good. As to my worldly goods and estate werewith it has pleased God to bless me I give all whether real or personal to my dear wife EMMA ROBINSON requiring of her in the first place out of my estate to pay and discharge all my debts.

And for as much as it will be tedious to me in this present distress to enter into particulars concerning the disposition of the residue of my said estate my will is that my said wife shall regulate such disfunction according to such discretion as I shall hereafter give her. Nevertheless it is my will that my said wife shall not be liable to give account to any person or persons for any part of such residue not doubting but that she will be faithful in doing that ?...? whatever I shall direct or desire of her.

And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said dear wife sole executrix of this my Last Will and Testament In token whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this 1st February 1722

Codicil

I direct my dear wife to pay £100 to St Paul's Church and to take up the Bond given for it by myself and Mr Nicholson.

I will that my Executrix restore to my successor the plate and furniture by me used in the chapel at my house at Fulham for the use of him and his successors in the said chapel: that my dear wife to not expend in my funeral above the sum of £200: that she give to the poor of the parish where I die £100.

That she pay to each of my servants living with me at the time of my decease one years wages, excepting the Gardener and him half a years wages, not hereby intending Board wages to any of them .

That she pay Mr CASTILIONEY £15 p.a. and to Mr PENDRILL £10 p.a. for the term of 3 years to commence from my decease.

That she pay to HANS ABORE £10 p.a. for his life to commence from my decease: and £10 to Mrs FRANCIS HOLLAND for her life to commence from my decease.

And to Mr CUTHBERT MARTIN and his wife or the survivor £10 p.a. for 5 years to commence at my decease.

All the above several sums to pe paid out of the produce of the money I have lent on the security of the Orphan Fund and Highgate Turnpike.

I give and devise and bequeath my Library or study of Books at Fulham to my two Chaplains Dr BERRYMAN and Mr SHERLOCK, my nephew JOHN BARNABY, to CHRISTOPHER ROBINSON and to Mr DUBORDINE equally to be divided between them.

Item I give to my dear wife half of my plate, half of my furniture, household goods, plate and furniture at Westminster, and I also give to her my Coaches and horses and what belongs to them and I recommend it to my wife to give the one half of my household goods plate and furniture at westminster to her daughter LETITIA if my said wife shall think fit , and as to what remains of my above said personal estate chargeable with payment of my debts I give devise and bequeath the same in manner following viz: one moiety to my neice BARNABY (or Burnaby) and the other moiety to the children of my late neice MERTIN (or Martin) deceased . And as to my real estate in the County of York I give devise and bequeath the same and all the right title and interest therein subject to the settlement made in my present wife which I hereby confirm in every part thereof unto my Nephew the eldest son of my Brother CHRISTOPHER ROBINSON in Tayle Male : and for default of such issue in like manner to all and every son and sons of my said brother ... chargeable with the payment of one annuity or rent charge of £60 p.a. Taxfree to my nephew CHRISTOPHER now a student at Oxford until he be otherwise provided for there or elsewhere, payable quarterly with power of dsitress on non-payment.

And the remainder of my personal estate I give to my said dear wife ...
