In the name of God Amen I Garland Richards of the parish of Abbotsbury in the County of Dorsett Gent being sick in body but of sound and perfect Memory and Understanding for which I give Thanks to the Almighty doe make and Ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme following In the first place I recommend my Soul into the hands of the father of Spirits trusting in his Merch through his Son my Lord for Salvation and my Body I Comitt to the Earth to be decently interred according to the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named.I doe Will and Devise unto my Nephew William Chilcomb the Younger of Watton in the parish of Symondsbury in the said County of Dorsett and to his heires and Assignes forever All that my ffarme with the Appurtenances in the parish of Beaminster in the said County of Dorsett called or knowne by the name of Chappell Marsh ffarme and all Houses Lands Tenements and Hereditaments .....situate lying and being within the said parish of Beaminster Item This is my Will and I doe hereby Constitute and Appoint my said Nephew William Chilcott the Younger whole and sole Executor of and Concerning all and Singular my Goods Chattels Rights and Creditts and to administer and Dispose thereof  both for payment of my Debts and otherwise as ny Executor hath or may have Item I doe hereby Revoke all former and other Wills by me made In witness whereof I the said Garland Richards have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the fourth and Twentyeth day of October in the third yeare of the raigne of our Sovereigne Lord and Lady William and Mary by the grace of God King and Queen of England Annoq Dm 1691
