This is the last Will and Testament of
Samuel Pritchard of the Town of Knighton in the County of Radnor
Gentleman being of sound mind memory and understanding in form
and manner following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my
son John Pritchard all and singular my Personal estate of every
nature and kind I give and bequeath unto my faithfull Servant
Susanah Griffiths the sum sixty pounds together with a suit of
decent mourning and also that my son John Pritchard shall pay
the legacy duty on the said sixty pounds that I have bequeathed
unto Susannah Griffiths I give and bequeath unto my late Servant
Ann Everals the sum of five pounds I also give and bequeath unto
my present Servant Elizabeth Hatfield the sum of five pounds I
also give and bequeath unto the sons of my late Sister and
Brother the sum of two pounds each I give and devise unto my Son
John Pritchard form and during the term of his natural life all
my real Estates situate in the Parishes of Knighton Presteign in
the County of Radnor and also in the Parish of Stow in the
County of Salop consisting of Houses and Gardens and one Piece
or Parcel of Land adjoining the ...... in the Parish of Knighton
then immediately after the decease of my Son John the same real
Estates to be sold and the money arising from such sale to be
equally divided between my Nephews with the exception of my
Nephew Samuel Pritchard not to have any part nor share thereof
and that the receipts of my Nephews aforesaid shall be good and
sufficient discharges to the diferent purchasers of the several
houses Gardens and land hereinbefore mentioned And I do hereby
appoint my Son John Pritchard and Hugh Lewis of the Town of
Knighton joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament
revoking all former wills by me heretofore made and declare this
to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal the fifth day of ffebruary one
