The Will of Elizabeth Pridie

 

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Pridie of East Greenwich in the County of Kent Widow being sick and weak in Body but of sound and well disposing mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God I doe hereby revoke and make void all former Wills and Bequests at any time heretofore by me made and declare this my last Will and Testament as followeth ffirst I Commend my Soul into the hand of Almighty God and my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently buryed as near my late Husband as may be And as to my Worldly Goods and Estate I give and dispose thereof in manner following ffirst I will and direct that all my just debts shall in the first place be fully payd and discharged And after such payment thereof I give devise and bequeath unto my Niece and God Daughter Ann Pridie All the Messuage Tenement and ffarm with the Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with the Appurtenances thereto belonging situate at Ringmere in the County of Sussex To have and to hold the said Messuage Tenement ffarm and Premises unto my said Niece Anna Pridie her Heirs and Assigns forever Also I give and bequeath unto my said Niece all my South Sea Stock and Annuitys whatsoever which I have and am Intitled to in the said South Sea Companys Stocks and all monies Interest and Dividends due and to grom due on the same Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said Niece Anna Pridie her Heirs and Assigns forever All these my Six Messuages Tenements and Dwelling houses with their Appurtenances and being in Cliff next Lewes in the said County of Sussex Also I give and bequeath unto my Niece ffrances Pridie ffive pounds Also I give and bequeath unto Penelope Radcliffe Daughter of John Radcliffe of Hitchen in Hartfordshire my Pair of Diamond Snapps for the Ears Also I give and bequeath unto my Mayd Servant my Camblet Gown and my Black and White Silk Gown and my Nine Old Shifts And all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells and Estate both Reall and Personal whatsoever and wheresoever not herein before mentioned and not hereby given devised and bequeathed I give devise and bequeath the same unto my said Niece Anna Pridie her Heires Executors Admors and Assignes for ever And I make nominate declare and appoint my said Niece Anna Pridie Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have To this my last Will and Testament contained in two Sheets of Paper To the first Sheet thereof sett my hand and to the last Sheet thereof I have sett my hand this sixth day of April in the fourteenth Year of the Reign of King George the Second over Great Britain and in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fforty one
