I Lewis Powell of Ystradgyulais in the County of Brecon being sick and weak in body but of a sound and disposing memory and understanding knowing the uncertainty of life do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following first I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Powell all that my messuage tenement and lands with the appurtenances called Ongarlfolta  situate in the several Parishes of Ystradgyulais and Dwy...... in the County of Brecon aforesaid to occupy and possess the same immediately after my decease on condition that my said Son Thomas Powell should pay or cause to be paid to my youngest son Richard Powell the sum of twenty five pounds yearly and every year And to continue the same unto his heirs and assigns for ever in case my said Son Thomas Powell should die intestate leaving no issue I devise and bequeath the above mentioned tenement in as large and ample a manner as I now possess and enjoy the same unto my youngest son Richard Powell his heirs and assigns for ever also I give unto my youngest son Richard Powell all that shop in his own ..... at the time of my decease Also I give devise and bequeath unto my son Lewis Powell the sum of ffifty pounds to be paid him buy the space of twelve calendar months next after my decease of my Wife Jane Powell Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret the Wife of David Morgans of the Parish of Llywil the sum of fifty pounds to be paid her in like manner Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the Widow of Thomas Watkins of Pindwr the like sum of fifty pounds to be paid her in like manner Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Jane the Wife of William Thomas of the Parish of Cadox... juxta Heath in the County of Glamorgan the sum of fifty pounds to be paid her in like manner And lastly I nominate and appoint my said Son Thomas Powell to be sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the second day of January in the Year of our Lord 1812
