the Name of God Amen the
twenty ninth day of May
1821 I Sarah Pound of
the Liberty of Early
Parish of Sonning
(Nurse) being sick and
weak in body but of
Perfect mind & memory do
make and ordain this my
last Will and Testament
in manner following
first I recommend my
Soul to God who gave it
secondly my body I
commit to the Earth to
be decently interred at
the discretion of my
Executors hereafter
named and for what
Worldly Effects it hath
pleased God to Bless me
with I dispose thereof
as follows I give to my
Daughter Diana Howard
my.....Bedstead Bed and
Bedding Counterpane &
the remainder of my
Goods to be equally
divided between my other
two Daughters Mary Boyer
and Elizabeth Cork (I
should like Elizabeth
Cork to have my China)
and my Cloaths to be
equally divided between
all three Daughters
Dianna Mary and
Elizabeth I likewise
bequeath the sum of
Pounds after deducting
my just debts and
funeral expences to be
equally divided between
my four Children viz
Dianna Howard Mary Boyer
Elizabeth Cork and John
Eales in two instalments
the first instalment to
be Paid within six
months after my demise
and the second
installment on that day
two years if either of
the above named should
die without Issue his or
her share to fall to the
Survivors On the demise
of Mr ffrancis Chase of
Mattingley (Hants) will
be a small Sum the ...
of which will be in the
hands of John B Tubb and
Mr Jonathan Elliott of
Early my Executors to be
equally divided within
three months after the
said ff Chase’s demise
It is my particular wish
and command that there
will be no dissension or
quarrel but that this my
last Will and Testament
may be strictly and
peaceable fulfilled by
my aforementioned
Executors John B Tubb
and Mr Jonathan Elliott
If any should find
themselves dissatisfied
to be excluded his her
or their shares to be
divided among the rest
as Witness my hand this
