In the Name of God Amen I GEORGE PLEWS of
Hunton in the Parish of Patrick Brompton and North Riding of the
County of York yeoman being sick in body but of sound and disposing
mind and memory and understanding Do for the settling of such Estate
and effects wherewith it hath pleased the Almighty in his goodness
to bless me with make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in
Manner and form following that is to say
First my mind and Will is, and I do hereby
order and direct that all my Just Debts and Funeral Expences be
fully paid and satisfied by my hereinafter named Executor . I give
and devise unto my dear wife MARGET PLEWS a yearly annuity of £10 to
be paid in four equal quarterly payments during the term of her
natural life the first payment to be made at three months after my
decease and I hereby further give and bequeath to my said wife for
her personal support the sum of 40 shillings if she demand it, to be
paid to her in the course of seven days after my decease.
I give and devise unto my daughter MARY
PROCTER 20 shillings to be paid to her at two equal payments the
first one year after my decease.
I give unto my son in law ROBERT TODD of
Hunton 5 shillings and as to the rest and residue of my Estate Real
as well as Personal of what nature soever or wheresoever it may be
found I give and devise and bequeath to my son GEORGE PLEWS and his
heirs forever and I do hereby charge and make chargeable the whole
of my estate real and personal for the payment of the above
Annuities and Legacies and I do further give and bequeath to my said
wife a bed and bedding sufficient for it and some other necessaries
as may be agreed of by them for her Life and to my Son GEORGE at her
decease And I do appoint sole executor of this my last will and
testament In witness whereof I the said testator GEORGE PLEWS have
to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this 23 July
1801

before me the within named Executor was duly sworn to adminster the
Goods of the within named Testator and also that those Effects did
not at the time of his decease to the best of his knowledge amount
