This is the last will and testament of me JAMES PICKERSGILL of Leyburn in the parish of Wensley in the North Riding of the County of York Esq made 15 February 1813. I give and devise all my messuages land and tenements and hereditaments with appurtenances ... at or in the township of Leyburn, also all my messuages land and tenements with appurtenances at or in the townships of Bellerby and Harmby in the parish of Spennithorne, and all my messuages land and tenements and hereditaments with appurtenances commonly called or known by the names of Nutwith Coat and Roomer in the parish of Masham .... unto the use of my dear Sister MARY PICKERSGILL of Leyburn, spinster, for and during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease I give and devise the said messuages etc.... to the use of JAMES EWBANK the younger son of JOHN and JANE EWBANK of Sober Hill in the parish of Kirkby Wiske ... for ever. I give and bequeath all my ready money , money upon securities .. plate, china, linen and household furniture and all other my estate unto my dear sister the said MARY PICKERSGILL for her own use and benefit ... and I constitute and appoint my said sister and said JOHN EWBANK Executrix and Executor of this my last will and testament ....
