The Last Will and Testament of CHRISTOPHER
PICKERING of Little Crakehall in the Parish of Bedale in the County
of York yeoman, as follows, First I order that my debts and Funeral
Expences shall be first paid and discharged by my Executrix
hereinafter named.
Item I give to my daughter MARY PICKERING one
bed bed stead and bedding belonging it where she usually lays and
House Room in some part of my dwelling house at Little Crakehall
aforesaid during the Term of her natural Life.
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter ANN
FORSTER widow of NICHOLAS FORSTER all my freehold Houses Orchards
Gardens Garths Lands and Tenements situate at Little Crakehall
aforesaid for her life subject to find my said daughter MARY
PICKERING houseroom in some part thereof as aforesaid and at her
decease I give and devise the said freehold Houses Orchards Gardens
Garths Lands and Tenements to my two grandaughters ELIZABETH
FORSTER and ALICE FORSTER daughters of my said daughter ANN FORSTER
to be divided equally betwixt them and to their heirs and assigns
for ever
And my mind and will is that in case my said
daughter ANN FORSTER should marry again I give and bequeath the said
freehold Houses Orchards Gardens Garths Lands and Tenements to my
said two grandaughters ELIZABETH FORSTER and ALICE FORSTER to enter
upon the same when they attain respectively 21 years.
Item I give and bequeath to my said daughter
ANN FORSTER All my household furniture Except one bed given and
bequeathed to my daughtrer MARY PICKERING and two other Teaster
Bedsteads with beds and bedding to them I order and direct to be
given to my said two grandaughters ELIZABETH FORSTER and ALICE
FORSTER each one when they shall attain respective ages of 21 years.
And all my personal estate goods and chattels whatsoever or
wheresoever and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said
daughter ANN FORSTER full and sole executrix of this my Last Will
and testament and my mind and will is that out of my Personal estate
she do take care of my said two grandaughters till they shall attain
their respective ages of 21 years In witness whereof I hereby set my
hand and seal this 16 June 1774
