The Will of Stephen Phipps

 

In the Name of God Amen I Stephen Phipps being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say Viz in the first place I give and bequeath to my Wife Hannah Phipps all my goods and property and whatever also I shall die possessed of to her for her sole use and benefit during her life and after her decease to be equally divided between my Son John Phipps two daughters Ann and Elizabeth and my Son Thomas Phipps (and to my son John I give and bequeath only one shilling disannulling him from any other thing and to have no power over any other thing whatsoever) hereby revoking all former wills made by me in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of January in the eight year of the reign of King George the fourth and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight Stephen Phipps

On the 2d June 1828 Admon with the Will annexed of the goods chattels & credits of Stephen Phipps late of Hook Norton in the County of Oxford decd was granted to Hannah Phipps the relict and universal legatee for life having been first sworn by comon duly to admr as Executor
