In the Name of God Amen I George Phipps of the Parish of St Mary Magdalene in the Suburbs of the City of Oxford in the County of Oxon Esq considering the great uncertainty of this transitory life Doe in perfect health sound mind and memory and understanding (blessed be God) make this my last Will and Testament in manner following ffirst I humbly committ my Soule to the infinite Goodness and Mercy of God my Creator through the...of Jesus Christ Christ my blessed Redeemer desiring my ffuneral to be decent and private And the Will of God be done And as for such Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me withall in this world both reall and personall of whatnature kind or sort soever I give devise and bequeath the same unto my dearly beloved wife Catharine whome I make whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testment nott doubting of her Justice both in respect to our Children and payment of my debts hereby revoking and making null and void all former and other Wills and Deeds of Gift And in testimony that this is and shal be my last Will and Testment I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this thirteenth day of June one thousand seaven hundred and fifte one George Phipps
