The last Will
and Testament of me Reuben Phillips
the Younger of Dartmouth in the
County of Devon Paper Manufacturer
made the third day of October 1828
ffirst I will and direct that all my
just debts and funeral expences
shall be fully paid and discharged
also all the Rest Residue and
Remainder of my Personal Estate and
Effects whatsoever money and
securities for money I give and
bequeath unto my Brother in law
ffrederick Owen Patch of Tiverton in
the County of Devon Solicitor my
Brother Henry Phillips of the City
of Exeter Chemist and my dear Wife
Ann and I do direct that they shall
receive and collect all debts now
due or which may hereafter become
due to me upon Trust to permit my
said Wife to use my household
furniture plate and Glass during her
life and to turn my Effects into
money and invest the same together
with all monies which may come to
their hands by virtue of this my
Will in any of the ffunds or
Government Stocks or Securities as
to them shall seem advisable and to
pay the Interest and Dividends
arising therefrom to my said Wife
during her life for her support and
the maintenance and Education of my
Children and from and immediately
after her decease Upon Trust to pay
transfer and divide the same amongst
them my said Children as they shall
respectively attain their ages of
twenty one years and until they
shall attain their ages of twenty
one years Upon Trust to pay the
Interest and Dividends from their
respective shares for their
respective maintenance and Education
and I do hereby appoint the said
ffrederick Owen Patch Henry Phillips
and Ann my Wife Executors of this my
last Will and Testament In Witness
whereof I have to this my last Will
and Testament written or contained
in one sheet of Paper set my hand
and seal the day and year first
