The Will of Jane Phillips

 

I Jane Phillips Spinster in the Parish of St Thomas in the Town and County of Haverfordwest appoint my Sister Henrietta Phillips Executrix to this my Will to have me buried just as my beloved Mother was and as near to my two dear Parents as possible if I die in Pembrokeshire but should it please God to call me in any other place then I wished to be buried quietly and decently ..... I leave to my Sister Henrietta Phillips one hundred pounds to be paid her immediately to repay the expences of my funeral I leave one hundred pounds to my Sister Elizabeth Bushells I leave one hundred pounds to my Brother John Lock Phillips I leave one hundred pounds to my Sister Anne Stokes I leave one hundred pounds to my Brother James Phillips I leave one hundred pounds to my Brother Charles Phillips I leave one hundred pounds to my Brother Evan Phillips and I desire that all the Sums of Money I have specified above might be paid at the expiration of six months after my death out of the thousand pounds left to me by the Will of my late Mother I leave to my Sister Henrietta Phillips all my Wearing Apparel books furniture plate and Trinkets for Ever also I leave her the remaining Two hundred pounds left to me by the Will of my late Mother and all my money in the funds on Bond and in the Turnpike Trust for her life and at her death I leave all my money to be divided between my Sister Elizabeth Bushells Daughters my Brother George Phillips Daughters and my Sister Ann Stokes’ Daughters I declare this to be my last Will and Testament and if it is not worded according to Law I hope my dear brothers and sisters will allow it to stand as I have written it January the second in the Year of our Lord 1802 Jane Phillips Witness Elizabeth Phillips Martha Phillips

 

I appoint General Alexander Adams and Henry Rees Esquire Trustees of this my last Will and Testament

 

The Codicil to my Will I leave my best work box to my Niece Augusta Stokes and my gold needle book to my Sister Henrietta Phillips Jane Phillips
