The Will of George Phillips

 

I George Phillips of Swainswick in the County of Somerset do make this my last Will hereby revoking all former Wills made by me I give to my Son George John Phillips a Clock now in my possession also the bed bedstead and furniture which I now use I give to my Grandson  George Phillips my family Bible I give my China to be divided amongst all my grandchildren in such manner as my Daughter Susannah shall direct And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Effects monies securities for monies Goods Chattels and every description of property whatsoever I give the same to my Daughters Jane Tyler Phillips and Susannah Phillips to be equally divided between them after paying thereout my just debts funeral and testamentary expences I hereby appoint Mr George Phillips Manners of Bath and my said Daughter Susannah as Executor and Executrix of this my Will _ Geo Phlips

(Affidavit of due Execution sworn by Charlotte Lucy Shenton Spinster of Swainswick and James Tuck of the same place Gentleman to the effect that at the time of executing his Will the Testator was in a very weak and debilitated state of body and his eye sight very bad which was the sole cause of his signing his name in an imperfect manner)

 

Proved at London 3 November 1832
