The Will of Ann Penny

 

This Paper Writing contains the last Will & Testament of me Ann Penny of Tilsoe in the Parish of Burford in the County of Shropshire Spinster as follows first I direct all my just debts legacies and funeral Expences and Expences of proving this my will be paid by my Exor hereinafter mentioned out of my Personal Estate as soon as conveniently may be I give & bequeath to my nephew Richard Jones a legacy of Twenty Pounds for the trouble he will have as Executor to this my will I give & bequeath to my nephews John Jones and Thomas Jones a legacy of Ten pounds each and to my Sister Mary Harper Ten pounds Ten Pounds also my brother Thomas Penny Ten pounds....to my nephew Richard Jones’s son Richard a legacy of Twenty Pounds I give & bequeath all that my sum of two hundred......pounds ten shillings stock in the three per Cents in the Bank of England to my nephew & Exor Richard Jones his Exors & Administrators in trust only to pay the Interest thereof and all.....at my Death to my sister Elizabeth Bready to and for her own sole and separate use for her life and the same to be paid into her proper hands and her receipt alone to be a discharge to my Trustees for the same and the sum to be out of the power of her husband and not subject to his Debts Controul Power or Engagements and on her decease In Trust to pay her son ffrances Johnson by her first husband a legacy of ten pounds out of such capital either to pay the remainder out of such stock & all arrears of dividends due at the death of my said sister Elizabeth Bready that shall ........my niece Priscilla Jones for her own money and to her Exors Admors & assigns if she shall then be dead all the rest & residue of my personal Estate of every description I give & bequeath to my nephew & Exor Richard Jones whom I appoint sole Exor of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former will and wills be me made declaring this only to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix Ann Penny have hereto set my hand & seal this second day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred & five Ann Penny
