The Will of John Pearson

 

Will date 25th November 1913 Probate date 27 October 1924 Lichfield Archive probate records Vol. CLV folio 136b   I John Pearson of 73 Campbell Rd, Stoke-on-Trent in the county of Stafford, retired blacksmith hereby revoke all former wills and codicils heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last will. I appoint Arthur Collis of Campbell Rd, Stoke-on-Trent, provision dealer to be the executor and trustee of this my will. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Ann Lancaster my bedroom suite. Feather bed and bedsteads and mattresses, to my daughter Alice Elizabeth Smith my mahogany chest of drawers in the sitting room together with the over mantel also in the sitting room and my umbrella stand. To my daughter Maud Mary Waltho Bowden my grandfather clock two photographs of myself and late wife in gilt frames and one feather bed. To my grandson William George Pearson my trade emblems and my grandson Tom Smith my silver watch and chain. I devise all my real estate and I bequeath all the residue of my personal estate to my trustee upon trust to sell, call in and convert into money all such parts of my real estate as shall not consist of money and with the proceeds thereof to pay my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and as to the remainder to divide the same equally amongst my children living at my death.
