The Will of Francis Pearce

 

In the Name of God Amen I ffrancis Pearce of ffulham County of Middlesex & ffarrier by Trade being mindful of my mortality & being of sound mind blessed be God Do make & Publish this Writing to be my last Will and Testament revoking all other Will or Wills heretofore made by me in any wise whatsoever (that is to say) I will and bequeath to my Exors hereafter named all my property of every sort or kind that I may be in possession of at my death for the purposes & uses hereafter named (that is to say)I will & bequeath to my Wife the Sum of twenty five Pounds Pr Ann during the term of her life to be paid to her half Yearly at the times those Dividends are paid from which the Annuity arises I also give & bequeath to her twenty Pounds at my death to be paid as soon after as my Exors find to be convenient & also a Bed & ffurniture to it together with a Chest of Drawers a table six Chairs 2 Saucepans Washing Tub & such other things as she may desire & my Exors think proper further I will & bequeath to my Grandson ffrancis Pearce ffifty pounds to accumulate until he arrives at the Age of twenty one Years but should he not live to that Age I will that the ffifty pounds shall be equally divided among his Brothers & Sisters when they arrive at the Age of 21 Years I will & bequeath to my Son Stephen Pearce thirty pounds  to be paid as soon after my death as my Exors see convenient together with a full Suit of my Cloaths I also will & bequeath to him in trust the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds on the death of my Wife the Interest of which my said Son & his Wife shall enjoy during their lives & the longest liver of them & after their death it shall be equally divided between their Children as they shall respectively become 21 Years of Age in failure of all or any of the aforesaid bequests it shall go to the Residue All the rest & residue of my Property my Stock in Trade Goods (not heretofore given) my Wearing Apparel Shop House Book Debts & every thing or things that I die possessed of I give & bequeath to my Eldest Son ffrancis Pearce for Ever I hereby nominate & appoint Mr J Roe of Putney & my Son ffrancis Pearce my Exors & Trustees of this my last Will & Testament & request of them to accept of ten pounds each for their trouble & that all Expences attending the Exon of this my Will shall be paid out of the residue It is further my Will that my Exors shall not be answerable for any more Money than they receive nor one of them for the other for failures of Bankers or others where any of the Property may be hereafter lodged for safety or convenience Dated this 28 of May in the Year of our Lord 1811 Francis Pearce
