The Will of Isaac Peacock

 

By the Grace of God I Isaac Peacock of the Parish of Bitton in the County of Gloucester being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do on this second day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament as follows vizt. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Hannah Peacock all my money and all my household goods and Chattels to be at her disposal likewise I give unto her my dwelling house garden and all the lands adjoining thereto and belonging to the same ffreehold Property situate at Kingswood in the Parish of Bitton aforesaid together with a Piece of ground containing about sixty poles Leasehold situate at Burnshill in the aforesaid Parish of Bitton and all other my Personal Estate and Effects whatever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever To hold the same and every part thereof during the term of her natural life And my will is that the whole of the above mentioned lands and house with the Appurts thereof be sold either by Public Auction or by private contract at Six Calendar months after my decease and the money for which the said Lands and house be sold to be equally divided between my Children Viz my Son Daniel Peacock my Daughter Ann the Wife of John Bryant my Daughter Mary Peacock my Son Joseph Peacock and my Son Aaron Peacock But should either of my Children die before the lands and house be sold and the money arising therefrom be equally divided as specified in this Will The such share or shares of my deceased Child or Children is to be equally divided between his her or their Children i.e. the Children of the deceased whether such Grandchildren of mine be born in wedlock or whether they be illegitimate born And I do charge my Estate with the Payment of my just debts ffuneral testamentary and all other expences and with all the debts my Wife Hannah Peacock be charged with after my decease her funeral and all other expences And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said Wife Hannah Peacock and my Son Daniel Peacock Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament and hereby revoking all former Wills by me made I declare this only to be my last In Witness whereof I set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written Isaac Peacock Mark X
