The Will of Ann Peacock

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Peacock of the City of Bristol Widow First I direct all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be paid by my Executors as soon as conveniently can be after my decease I give and bequeath all my household furniture articles of household plate linen china books and wearing apparel unto and to be equally divided between my daughters in law Ann Peacock the Wife of my son George Alfred Peacock and Charlotte Peacock the Wife of my son Henry Stephen Warburton Peacock I give and bequeath my gold watch unto my grandson Stephen Henry Warburton Peacock I forgive and release unto my said sons George Alfred Peacock and Henry Stephen Warburton Peacock all or any sum or sums of money which they or either of them may owe me at the time of my decease whether the same be secured by Deed Bond or otherwise or be not so secured And as to the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto Thomas Fryer of the City of Bristol aforesaid Surgeon and Samuel Nicholls of the same City Auctioneer their executors administrators and assigns upon trust to pay and divide the same equally between my said my daughters in law Ann Peacock and Charlotte Peacock but nevertheless as to the shares of each of my said my daughters in law in such kind and at such times as they my said Trustees of the survivor of them his executors or administrators shall in their discretion think fit and proper and so that the same shall be for the sole and separate use of my said my daughters in law respectively and shall not be subject to the debts or incumbrance of their present or any future husbands  who shall have nothing to do therewith and I do hereby declare that the receipts of my said my daughters in law respectively under their hands alone shall be the only good discharge ( or their respective shares or for so much thereof as in such receipts shall be expressed to be received notwithstanding any present or future coverture) and I hereby nominate and appoint the said Thomas Fryer and Samuel Nicholls Executors of this my Will and I do hereby declare that they shall respectively be chargeable only for so much money as they shall respectively actually receive and that they or either of them shall be answerable for his respective acts receipts neglect or defaults only and shall and may retain to and reimburse themselves and also allow to his Coexecutor all losses costs damages and expences which they shall respectively sustain expend or be put unto or which shall be to them or either of them occasioned in or about the execution of this my Will and hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Ann Peacock have directed Jane Corp of the City of Bristol my Domestic Servant to write and subscribe my name at the foot or end of this my last Will and Testament this twenty third day of September One thousand eight hundred and fifty two  _ Ann Peacock
