I
Mary Paull of Cleveland Street Fitzroy Square in the parish of Saint
Pancras in the County of Middlesex widow do hereby make and publish
my last will and Testament in manner following First I commit my
soul into the hands of my Creator who gave it [&] my body to the
Earth to be interred in the same Grave with the remains of my late
dear husband in the church yard of the parish of Saint Marylebone
and a tombstone to be placed thereon I give devise and bequeath unto
my worthy friend George Bryant of Salcombe Place Regents Park in the
said County of Middlesex Gentleman all my Personal Estate and
Effects upon Trust for him his executors or adm[inistrat]ors
immediately after my decease to sell [&] dispose of the same [&]
thereout in the first place to pay all my just debts funeral [&]
testamentary expenses [&] after payment thereof the Legacies
hereinafter mentioned that is to say to Mrs. Mary Paull the wife of
George Paull the sum of thirty pounds To Mr. Richard Winch the sum
of twenty five pounds To Mrs. Susan Batchelor the wife of Mr.
William Batchelor the sum of twenty five pounds To Mrs. Ann
Elizabeth Briellat the wife of Mr. Briellat the sum of twenty five
pounds To Mrs. Charlotte Jones the wife of Mr. James Jones the sum
of twenty five pounds To Mr. Thomas Branch the sum of twenty five
pounds To Mrs. Elizabeth Moore widow the sum of twenty five pounds
and to the said George Bryant the sum of twenty five pounds And I
do hereby declare and it is my will [&] desire that each of the
legacies given to the said Mary Paull Susan Batchelor Ann
Elizabeth Briellat Charlotte Jones [&] Elizabeth Moore is for
their and each of their own sole and absolute use and benefit and
not liable to the Debts Control or engagements of their or any of
their present or any future husband or husbands they or either of
them may hereafter intermarry and that their and each of their
receipt or receipts alone shall be a good sufficient discharge to my
said executor for such sum or sums of money as in such receipt or
receipts shall be acknowledged or expressed to be received and I do
hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said George Bryant sole
Executor of this my will hereby revoking all former ones by me at
any time heretofore made and declaring this to be my last and only
will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix Mary
Paull have hereunto set my hand [&] seal this twenty eighth day of
January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
thirty nine.

her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other
