This is the last Will
and Testament of me Dinah Parsons
of West Hill Wincanton
in the County of Somerset Spinster made the thirteenth day of
December One thousand eight hundred and sixty as follows I give
and bequeath unto Elizabeth the Wife of my Brother William
Parsons my Merino Dress Silk Mantle and black silk Bonnet I give
and bequeath my monies unto my Brother William Parsons of
Bathford Somerset Yeoman and my Sister Mary Parsons the Wife of
Meshach Parsons of Bayford Somerset Yeoman Upon Trust in the
first place thereout to pay and discharge all my just debts
funeral and testamentary expences and in the next place to
continue the residue of the money in its present investment in
the savings Bank and to pay and apply the Interest and Annual
Income thereof unto my Mother Jane Parsons for and during the
term of her natural life for her own absolute use and benefit
And from and after her decease Upon further trust to pay unto
Ann Jane Elizabeth and Mary Parsons the four daughters of my
late Brother George Parsons of Charlton Musgrove Somerset the
sum of Five pounds apiece and to the surviving daughters of my
said Sister Mary Parsons the like sum of Five pounds apiece and
to divide the residue equally between themselves the said Mary
Parsons and William Parsons and my Brother Charles Parsons to
whom respectively I give and bequeath the same monies
accordingly for their own absolute use and benefit All the rest
and residue of my wearing apparel and personal Estate whatsoever
and wheresoever I give and bequeath unto and equally between my
said Mother Jane Parsons and Sister Mary Parsons for their own
absolute use and benefit I appoint my said Brother William
Parsons and my said Sister Mary Parsons Executor and Executrix
of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
the day and year first before written Dinah Parsons
Signed by the said
Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the joint
presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the
presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as
witnesses John Gatehouse John Messiter
On the 8th day of July
1861 the Will of Dinah Parsons late of West Hill in Wincanton in
the County of Somerset, Spinster, deceased was proved by the
Oath of William Parsons, Brother of the deceased one of the
Executors named in the Will; he having been first sworn duly to
administer. Power being reserved for making the like grant to
Mary Parsons (wife of Meshach Parsons) Sister of the deceased
the other Executor named in the said Will when she shall apply
for the same.
