The Will of John Parratt

 

In the Name of God Amen I John Parratt of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks being well in body but of Sound and perfect mind and memory praised be Almighty God for the Same do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say ffirst I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hopeing thro the Meritorious death and Passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to receive ffree Pardon of all my Sins And as for my body I comit the same to the Earth from whence it came to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named And as for that Worldly Estate which God hath bestowed upon me I dispose as followeth Imprimis I Give and devise unto my son John Parratt and his heires All my ffreehold Houses and Land and Sole Estate whatsoever and wheresoever but in case my said Son shall happen to dye before he shall attain his Age of One and Twenty Yeares my said Son leaveing no Issue of his Body Then I give and devise my said real estate to my loveing Wife Ann Parrott and her Heires for ever But in case my son and Wife shall both dye before my said Son shall attaine his Age of One and Twenty Yeares leaveing no Issue of his Body Then I Give and devise my said real estate to and amongst the Children of my Brother in Law Richard Dexter and their Heires forever nevertheless that if my said Son shall dye before he  attaine the Age of One and Twenty Yeares leaveing issue of his body Then I Give and devise my said real estate to and amongst the Children of my said Brother in Law Richard Dexter and their Heires as aforesaid Item I Give and devise unto my said loveing Wife Ann Parratt All my Goods and Chattells and Personal Estate whatsoever And I do make and Ordaine my said loveing Wife Ann Parratt full and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament revoaking All former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seale this ffourteenth day of May in the ffifth Yeare of the raigne of our Soveraign Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith Anno Dm 1719       John Parrott
