The Will of Elizabeth Oxley

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Oxley
of Saint Mary Axe in the City of London being of sound mind
memory and understanding and understanding do make this my last
Will and Testament Whereby I give and bequeath to Mrs Huddy late
of Cullun Street the sum ffive pounds towards defraying my
funeral expences which I desire I may be decently buried and
that the aforesaid Mrs Huddy may be at full liberty to ask who
she may thing proper to my ffuneral I also give and bequeath my
personal effects in manner and form following that is to say
ffirst I give and bequeath to Mrs Huddy my Bible my two Shawls
my Silk Scarf my Clock my Cotton box and my two silk
Handkerchiefs And my mind and Will is and I desire that the
Bedstead and bedding to be returned to the said Mrs Huddy as it
was lent by her to me when I left her in Cullum Street I also
give and bequeath to my dear Cousin Mary Ann Baker of Shadwell
except what I have above bequeathed my remaining household
furniture and all my wearing apparel And my mind and will is in
case there should happen after all my just debts testamentary
expences are duly paid that if there should be any money
remaining in the Bank of England Savings Banks or any other
Banks and that all such monies as shall be due and owing to me
at the time of my decease that the said Mrs Huddy and my Cousin
Mary Ann Baker of Shadwell do and shall with all convenient
speed after my decease call in and compel payment of all such
part of my personal estate as shall consist of money due and
owing upon security or otherwise and after satisfying and pay my
just debts at my decease then that all the remaining money may
be equally divided by and between the aforesaid Mrs Huddy and my
Cousin Mary Ann Baker respectively equally share and share alike

seal this 24th day of November in the Year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and thirty four Elizabeth Oxley
