The Will of William Oxborough

 

This is the Last Will and Testament of me William Oxborough of the City of Durham a Commander in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy made this thirty first day of July one thousand eight hundred and forty one I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Mary Ord Wife of Thomas Ord of Hartlepool in the County of Durham Printer all such household furniture plate linen china and other effects as shall happen to be in the possession of the said Benjamin Thomas Ord at the time of my decease I give my silver watch and appendages and also my silver snuff box to my grand son William Henry Ord Son of John Ord And as to all the Residue of my Estate and Effects after payment of my debts and funeral expences I give devise and bequeath the same between and amongst my three daughters Sarah Thompson Wife of Robert Thompson the said Elizabeth Mary Ord and Rebecca Ann Ord the Wife of the said John Ord And I direct that my eldest son Charles Oxborough shall have the conducting of my funeral and all expences incurred by him in and about the same shall be retained out of the residue of my effects And I appoint my said son Charles sole Executor of this my last Will and revoke all former Wills as witness my hand the day and year above written William Oxborough
