In the Name of God Amen I Jeremy
(otherwise) Jeremiah Osborne of Basingstoke in the County of
Southampton Gentleman being sick and weak in Body but of sound
Mind memory and understanding Praised be Almighty God for the
same Do make and Ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in
manner and fforme following ffirst of all I Give and bequeath my
Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it me and my Body
I commit to the Earth to be decently buried after the order and
discretion of my Executor herein after named and as to Such
reall and Personall Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to
bless me with I Give and Devise the same as follows Imprimis I
Give and Bequeath unto my loving Sister Susan Osborne the Sum of
One hundred Pounds to be paid to her at the Age of One and
Twenty Year Item I Give and bequeath unto my Neice Mary Burnham
Daughter of George Burnham of Basingstoke aforesaid the Sum of
One hundred and Twenty Pounds to be paid to her at the Age of
One and Twenty If the said Mary Burnham shall happen to dye
before Attains to the Age of One and Twenty then I Give and
devise the same unto Ann Burnham Sister of the said Mary Burnham
to be paid to her at the Age of One and Twenty Item I Give and
bequeath unto William Stevenson the Sum of Ten Pounds to buy him
a Suit of Mourning and to be paid within Six Months after my
decease And lastly I Do nominate Constitute and Appoint my
honoured ffather John Osborne my whole and sole Executor of this
to be my last Will and Testament Uttelry revoking and making
Void all former Wills and Testaments by me at any time made And
for my ffather’s Trouble in being my Executor I Give and
bequeath unto him all my Messuages Lands Tenements and Premises
Whatsoever within the Kingdom of Great Britain To hold to him
his Heirs and Assigns forever ffirst Paying and Discharging all
my Debts and Legacies which I shall owe at the time of my
Decease In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and
Testament sett my hand and seal this Twentieth Day of ffebruary
in the fifteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the Second and so forth and in the Year of our Lord 1743
