The Will of Edward Septimus Orme

 

This is the last Will and Testament of Edward Septimus Orme of the Parish of St George Stamford in the County of Lincoln Esquire made this twenty fourth day of ffebruary 1841 ffirst I direct that my body may be conveyed without any Pomp or Ceremony to the Parish Church of Polebrook in the County of Northampton and there buried as near the remains of my late Worthy Great Uncle Capt. John Orme as conveniently may be Also I give and bequeath unto Adelaide Touchet Nutt my Niece the Wife of William Thomas Nutt of Little Weston in the County of Rutland Plumber and Glazier the sum of four hundred pounds to be paid to the said Adelaide Touchet Nutt at the expiration of twelve calendar months after my decease I also give to the said Adelaide Touchet Nutt the whole of my household linen of every description whatever I also give and bequeath may Ann Shuter the Wife of Jacob Shuter Cordwainer of Little Weston in the aforesaid County of Rutland the sum of fifty pounds to be paid to her at the expiration of twelve calendar months after my decease I also give to Miss Harriet Hurst of St Pauls Street in Stamford Spinster all and every my pieces of foreign & other china of all descriptions for her sole use and benefit in addition to which I also give to the above Miss Harriet Hurst Spinster my pair of Chased Silver Tea Cannisters for her sole use at the end of twelve calendar months after my decease Also I give and bequeath all and every my ffreehold copyhold and leasehold messuages and tenements lands and hereditaments and real Estates whatsoever and wheresoever situate and also all and every my monies security for money in the public stocks or funds and all other my Personal Estate not hereinbefore given and bequeathed after payment of my just debts funeral expences the costs of proving this my Will and other incidental expences unto and to the use of my Nephew Humphrey Orme his heirs Executors administrators and assigns absolutely And I appoint my said Nephew Humphrey Orme sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Edward Septimus Orme have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written  –  Edward Septimus Orme
