This is the last Will and Testament of me
Eve Oakey of Peckham Rye in the County of Surry Widow Whereas I
have given during my lifetime unto my son William more money
then I have given unto my son John I hereby give unto my son
John fforty three pounds which is to be paid to him immediately
after my death out of the produce to arise by sale of my stock
in the new three and a half per Cents or Any other stock I may
die possessed of And if there shall not be sufficient stock then
out of the sale of my ffurniture and other effects I give to my
son William my mourning ring I give to my son John his father’s
watch and also my Diamond ring which was given me on condition
of his possessing it after my decease I give to my two Grandsons
William and Joseph a Pocket Bible each with their Grandmother’s
blessing I give to my Mother in Law Mrs Elizabeth Oakey any
trifle she may select to keep in remembrance of me I give to Mrs
Mackinen of Trowbridge any other trifle she may select to keep
in remembrance of me I give to Miss Mann my pebble brooch I give
to my ffather any book or other trifle he may select to keep in
remembrance of me And I direct my Executors to give to Mrs
Peascod Mrs Clark Emma Best each such token of my regard as my
Executors shall select And as to all the Rest residue and
remainder of my estate and effects whatsoever whether money in
the ffunds household Goods plate Books China wearing apparel and
other property of every kind I give and bequeath the same after
payment thereout of my ffuneral & testamentary expences and the
Charges of proving this my Will unto my two sons William and
John jointly to be equally divided between them share and share
alike and I hereby appoint my said two sons William and John
Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me
made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set and subscribed my
hand and seal the thirty first day of October One thousand eight
hundred and thirty five Eve Oakey
