In the Name of God Amen I George Northover of Bellmont in the Parish of Carisbrooke in the Isle of Wight .... considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof do make this my last Will and Testament I commend my soul to God trusting for salvation through Christ and my Body I desire may be decently interred at the discretion of the Executrix of this my Will and my Worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me I dispose of as follows that is to say I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Northover of Powerstock in the County of Dorset all my Interest in a certain lease bearing date the third day of June And in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy two ... his Grace Harry Duke of ........... James Symes for and during her natural life Lastly I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate wheresoever after payment of my just Debts and ffuneral Expences unto my dear Wife Sarah Northover whom I appoint sole Executrix and residue Legatee of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this first Day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine George Northover
