The Will of William Nettlefold

 

In the Name of God Amen I William Nettlefold of Kingston upon Thames in the County of Surry Gentleman being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory Thanks be unto Almighty God do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following first and Principally I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God in hope of Mercy through Jesus Christ my Saviour I commit my Body to the Earth to be decently interred and my Temporal Substances I give and dispose of as followeth I give and devise all that my Messuage or Tenement ffarm Lands Grounds and Premises with the Appurtenances to the same belonging as the same are lying and being in Feltham in the said County of Surry and were lately Purchased by me of my Brother in Law John Tickner unto my loving Brother Edward Nettlefold his Heirs and Assigns forever he my said Brother Edward Nettlefold his Heirs and Assigns well and trully paying out of the said Premises unto my loving Sister Mary Tickner Wife of the said John Tickner one Annuity or yearly sum of fifteen Pounds during her Life by half yearly Payments clear of all Taxes and also Paying thereout from and after the Death of my said Sister Mary Tickner the several Sums of one Hundred Pounds a peice unto her two Sons Edward Tickner and John Tickner and I do hereby charge all the above mentioned Premises with the Payment of the said Annuity Sum and Sums of Money hereinafter mentioned to be by me given and to be issuing and Payable thereout also I give and devise all those my ffreehold and Copyhold Lands Grounds Messuages or Tenements and all other Premises whatsoever lying and being in Wimbledon in the said County of Surry and belonging unto me unto my said Brother Edward Nettlefold and to his Heirs and Assigns forever Subject nevertheless and I do hereby charge all the said last mentioned Premises with the Payment of one Annuity or yearly sum of Twenty Pounds unto my loving Brother Thomas Nettlefold during his natural Life clear of all Taxes by half yearly Payments and from and
after the decease of my said Brother Thomas Nettlefold I do hereby further charge all the said last mentioned Premises with the Payment of one hundred Pounds unto his own son John Nettlefold I also give and devise all that my Moiety or equal half part of the Messuage or Inn called the Dogg now in the occupation of John Busby and also of the Messuage or Premises near or adjoining thereunto now in my own Possession unto my Nephew William Nettlefold and to his Heirs and Assigns forever also I give and bequeath unto my Neice Elizabeth Wadbrook Wife of George Wadbrook the sum of one Hundred Pounds to be paid within one Year after my decease and also my Silver Tea Canister also I give and bequeath unto my Neice Ann Nettlefold the Sum of ffifty Pounds and the Silver Pint Mug that is not marked with my Name to be paid and delivered to heart her Age of Twenty and one Years or day of Marriage also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Benjamin Nettlefold the Sum of ffifty Pounds to be paid unto him when my Executor hereinafter named shall think Convenient and not before all the rest and residue of my Real and Personal Estate whatsoever or wheresoever not hereinbefore given and devised I give devise and bequeath unto my said Nephew William Nettlefold his Heirs Executors and Administrators and assigns to his and their own use and disposal forever and Lastly I do hereby Constitute Nominate and appoint my said Brother Edward Nettlefold full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and thus revoking all former Wills by me at any time made I confirm this my last Will and Testament and in Testimony hereof I have hereunto Put my hand and seal the Twenty fifth day of March in the Twenty fifth Year of his Present Majesty King George the Second his Reign and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty two    Wm Nettlefold
