I Richard Nelson of West Retford in the County of Nottingham Paper Maker do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give & bequeath unto my half sister Maria Nelson the legacy or sum of One Hundred Pounds to be paid to her by my Executor at the end of twelve Calendar Months next after my decease out of my Personal Estate and I also Will and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences shall be fully paid and discharged by my Exor as soon after my decease as conveniently may be out of my Personal Estate And I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto my dear brother Horatio Nelson all and singular my messuages cottages closes lands tenements and heredits and parts and shares of messuages cottages closes lands tenements and hereditaments and real estates whatsoever and wheresoever the same may be situated And all my monies securities for money goods chattels cattle Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature degree or kind soever To hold the same and every part thereof unto and to the use of my said brother Horatio Nelson his heirs exors admors and assigns for ever according to the natures and qualities of the same Estates respectively And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint him my said brother Horatio sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this fourth day of April in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty one Rich: Nelson   (Attestation Clause)   Kitty Hill         G Hill       J Baines   Dublin Monday 9 June 1828 I Richard Nelson being about to depart this life wish that the following sums be applied out of my Property  as follows viz for the poor Widows of the Village of Andstal £5 Widows of West Retford % To my house keeper Norcliff at Yorkshire near Halifax 20 R Nelson Signed in the presence of Timothy Kelly Wm McCormick   Also I desire that all legal claims against me in this house be paid to Mr McCormick and also that Dr Carroll be remunerated for his kind attention to me also the Apothecary Bill to be paid R Nelson present Timothy Kelly Wm Harper     Proved at London 21 July 1839   PCC Prob11/1912
