The Will of John Neal

 

In the name of God amen I John Neal of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Farmer being in perfect health and sound mind memory and understanding but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (to wit) First I give and devise to my two sons Benjamin Neal and Samuel Neal All that Cottage or Tenement situate in Hanslop aforesaid and commonly called or known by the name of Paches Barley now in the occupation of William Brooker together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging To hold to them my said sons Benjamin Neal and Samuel Neal share and share alike and to their heirs and assigns for ever Next I give and devise unto my son Nathaniel Neal All that my other Cottage or Tenement situate in Hanslop aforesaid and now or late in the tenure or occupation of Thomas Marriott together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging To hold to him my said son Nathaniel Neal his heirs and assigns for ever Next I give and bequeath to my son Samuel Neal the legacy or sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Great Britain Also give and bequeath to my said son Samuel Neal my own Clock Next I give and bequeath to my son Nathaniel Neal the sum of two Guineas Next I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Cowley the sum of one guinea Next I give and bequeath to my daughter in Law Ann Neal the sum of one guinea all which aforesaid legacies are to be paid out of my Personal estate by my executors Hereinafter named within twelve months next after my decease Next I give and bequeath to Eleanor Morris daughter of Elizabeth Morris of Hanslop aforesaid the legacy or sum of ten pounds to be paid her by my Executors hereinafter named as soon as she shall attain her respective age of ten years All the rest residue and remainder of my goods Chattells Stock and effects whatsoever and wheresoever (after payment of my just debts legacies and funeral expences) I give and bequeath to my sons Benjamin Neal and Samuel Neal to be divided between them share and share alike My Will and desire further is that my son Benjamin Neal may succeed and occupy my Bargain after my decease And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said sons Benjamin Neal and Samuel Neal executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former will or wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of July in the thirtieth year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety
