The Will of Mathew Moore
In the
name of God Amen. I Mathew Moore
of Eals in the Parish of
Knarsdale and in the County of
Northumberland, Husbandman being
of sound mind and memory do make
publish and declare this my last
Will and Testament in manner
following - Imprimis, I give and
bequeath unto my dear brother
John the sum of forty pounds
sterling. Item I give and
bequeath unto my dear brother
Jacob the sum of forty pounds
sterling. Item I give and
bequeath unto my late dear
sister’s Ann’s children the sum
of forty pounds sterling to be
equally divided amongst them and
as for and concerning all and
singular and the rest residue
and remainder of my effects of
what Nature or kind soever and
whosesoever the same now are or
shall be at the time of my
decease I give and bequeath the
same and every part there of
unto my dear brother Joseph his
Heirs? Executors Administrators
and ???? Respectfully and I
hereby constitute and appoint my
said brother Joseph sole
Executor of this my Will and
Testament and I hereby revoke
and make void all former Will
and Testament by me at any time
hereto fore made. In Witness
where of I have here unto set my
hand and seal this nineteenth
day of May in the year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven hundred
and Ninety One. This Will was kindly transcribed and sent in by Anita.
