In the Name of God Amen I Gerard Monger (one of the sons of Joshua Monger late of Wandsworth in the County of Surrey Gent deceased) doe make and ordaine this my Will and Testament in manner and forme following Imprimis

I give and bequeath to my Brothers and Sisters (Vizt) Joshua, John, Benjamin, Katherine and Anne the sume of Twenty shillings to each of them buy a ring Item whereas my Honored and Loving Mother Rebecca Monger widow hath disbursed a considerable sum of money to the binding me out an Apprentice to Captain John Ely Marriner now bound for the East Indies and my said Mother hath Covenanted to furnish me with all necessary Cloathing dureing the whole time of my Apprenticeship I doe therefore give and bequeath to my said Loving Mother All that part or portion belonging to me upon the Devision of my ffather’s Estate according to the Custom of the Citty of London which sum of money is now in the Chamber of the said Citty and I doe make and Ordaine my said Loving Mother Rebecca Monger my sole and only Executor of this my Will and Testament In Witnesses whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this fourth day of May Anno Domini One Thousand six hundred & Eighty Three Gerard Monger
