The Will of Margaret Michener

 

In the Name of God Amen The Three and Twentieth Day of May Anno Domini 1669 and in the Eleventh Year of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord William the Third by the grace of God King of England Scotland France and Ireland Defender of the Faith I Margaret Michener of New Windsor in the County of Berks widow being aged and weake but of perfect minde and memory (praised be God) Doe make ordain and to the world publish and declarethis my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following ffirst and principally I commend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator hopeing through the sole merritts of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to obtaine remission of all my Sinns and Life everlasting My Body I committ to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as to the temporall Estate which God hath given me I dispose of as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath to my Son William a Feather Bed and Bolster and Two pair of Sheets and if I happen to Dye possesst of one Cow or more then I give a cow to my said Son William Item I intreat my Son Henry to take care and provide for my Grandson Arthur and putt him to a Trade And upon that condition in Trust and Confidence that he will doe it I give and bequeath my Lease of the Tenements which I hold of the Deane and Cannons of Windsor And all my Estate and Right therein to my said Son Henry Item my Will is that ny Executor (at his owne charge) shall cause to be made fitt all such of my wearing Apparell both Linnen and Woollen (as may be conveniently altered) and give them to son William's children for their owne wear And Lastly I constitute ordain and appoint my said son Henry Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament to whom I give all other my Goods and Chattells not herein otherwise bequeathed my Debts and Funerall Charges being first paid In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the Day and year first above written the marke of Margaret Michener
