In the name of God Amen I John Meadow of
Maghull in the County of Lancr Husbman being aged of body but of
perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto god & therefore Calling
unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointd
for all men once to die doe make and ordain this my last will and
testament Revoking all former wills by me made or Declared taht is
to say principally and First of all I give and recommend my soul
into the hands of god that gave it and ny Body I recommend to the
Earth to be Buried in Decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of
my Executors Doubting not at the General Resurrection I shall
Receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching
such worldly estate herewith it hath pleased almighty god to Bless
me in this life I give Devise and Dispose of the same in the
following manner and form
First my mind and will is that my just Debts funeral expenses and
the probate hereof shall be paid and Discharged with and out of my
personal Estate
Item I give and bequeath to four of my Eldst Children wich I hade by
my first wife that is to say William Alles Elisabeth and Margret the
sum of ten pounds of Lawful money of great Britan to be equally
divided amongst them four and to be paid to them of the Estate that
my son Thomas is possessed of within twelve months after my decease
by my son Thomas and all the rest and remainder parte of my personal
Estate I give and bequeath to my younger Children that is to say
Henry James John George Mary and Cathrine to be Equally divided
amongst them six at after my Decease and Lastly I nominate Elect and
appoint my son James and my daughter Mary Executor and Executrix of
this my Last will and testament and itt is my mind and will that
John Daveys and my son Thomas Meadow to aid and assist my Executors
hopeing that the will see this my Last will truly performed in
teastimoney I have hereunto sett and putt my hand and seale this
twenty sixt day of october and In the year of our Lord god one
thousand seven hundred and twenty Eight 1728
