The Will of John Maugham

 

In the Name of God Amen I John Maugham of the Town of Marazion in the County of Cornwall being of perfect mind and understanding do declare this to be my last Will and Testament ffirst after all my just debts are paid I give to my dear Mother all my ffortune both real and personal I mean the Income and Interest arising from the same as long as my said Mother & after the death of my Mother I give and bequeath the Income and Interest arising from all my Estates both real and personal to my Sisters Phillis Cole and Elizabeth Math... Lydia and Harriot Maugham to be enjoyed by them as long as either of them shall live After the death of my five Sisters now living I give and bequeath all my Estates both real and personal to my Nephew John Cole Son of Humphrey Cole of Marazion aforesaid Gentleman And it is my desire that my Cousin Pascoe Grenfell and Humphrey Cole both of Marazion doe see this my Will fulfilled In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this eighth day of December 1771
