The Will of Mary Matthews

This is the
last Will and Testament of me Mary
Matthews of Stableford in the Parish
of Worfield in the County of Salop
Spinster made the twenty first day
of July One thousand eight hundred
and twenty nine ffirst I desire to
be decently buried at Worfield at
the discretion of my Executor
hereinafter named and that my Just
Debts funeral & testamentary
expences may be paid and discharged
as soon as conveniently may be after
my decease I give and bequeath unto
my Nephew William Matthews of the
Cross Lane Head in the Parish of
Astley Abbotts in the County of
Salop Wheelwright the sum of ffifty
pounds and all my Household Goods
ffurniture and Implements of
Household Beds Bedding Plate China
and Glass I also give and bequeath
unto my Nephew Valentine Matthews
(brother of the said William
Matthews) the sum of ffifty pounds I
also give and bequeath unto my
Sister Susanna Shelley of Pattingham
in the County of Stafford the sum of
Twenty Pounds and one equal half
part of all my Linen and Wearing
Apparel I give and bequeath to my
four Nieces Mary Sarah Ann and Jane
Shelley daughters of my said Sister
Susanna Shelly the sum of Ten Pounds
each and in case of the death of any
of them under the Age of twenty one
Years then I give the Legacy or
Legacies of her or them so dying to
the Survivors or Survivor of them I
give and bequeath unto my two Nieces
Jane Cross and Elizabeth Matthews
the sum of Ten pounds each I give
and bequeath to my Sister Hannah
Pinner of Claverley in the County of
Salop and my Niece Jane eldest
Daughter of Richard Perry of Heath
in the Parish of Claverley aforesaid
the sum of ffive pounds each All
which said Pecuniary Legacies I
direct to be paid to such of the
said Legatees as shall be of Age at
the end of twelve months from the
time of my decease and to such of
them as shall not be of Age when and
as they shall severally and
respectively attain the Age of
twenty one years with Interest for
the same from the end of twelve
months from the time of my decease
and the Specific Legacies I direct
to be delivered as soon as
conveniently may be after my decease
I give and bequeath the other half
of all my Linen and Wearing Apparel
and all the residue and remainder of
my Personal Estate and Effects
whatsoever wheresoever and of what
nature or kind soever unto my
Brother Thomas Matthews to and for
his own use And I appoint my friend
Valentine Vickers of...... in the
Parish of Worfield aforesaid Esquire
sole Executor of this my Will and
revoke and make void all and every
former and other Will and Wills by
me at any time heretofore made In
Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal and published and
declared this to be my last Will and
Testament the day and year first
