This is the Last Will and Testament of me
Jemima Martyr of Reading in the County of Berks Spinster I desire to
be buried as near as may be to the Grave of my late Grandfather in
the Parish of ffeltham in the County of Middlesex I Give to my
namesake Jemima Martyr Daughter of my Cousin Richard Martyr and
Elizabeth his Wife my Gold Watch all the Rest and Residue of all my
Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and Wheresoever I Give and
Bequeath unto my Nephew John Martyr of the Middle Temple London
Esquire In Trust to pay thereout the following Legacies to the
following Persons (to wit)To my Sister Elizabeth Martyr Widow ten
Guineas To my Cozen Richard Martyr and Elizabeth his Wife the sum of
ten Guineas each To the Person who at my decease shall officiate as
Minister at the Baptist Meeting House in Hosiers Lane if Reading
aforesaid the Sum of five Guineas To all to whom I have given the
several Pecuniary Legacies or sums of Money I direct the same to be
paid Within twelve Months next after my decease and as to my Wearing
Apparel I leave to be distributed to such Person or Persons as my
Executor shall think most deserving at the time of my decease and
the rest and residue of my said Personal Estate and Effects I Give
to my said Nephew John Martyr to his own use and I hereby nominate
and Appoint my said Nephew John Martyr Executor of this my Will
hereby revoking all former Wills and Testaments by me made In
Witness whereof I the said Jemima Martyr the Testatrix have hereunto
set my hand and seal the twenty fifth of April in the Year of our
Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty Six Jemima Martyr
