In the name of God Amen the Second Day of September in the year of the Raine of our Soveraign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Greate Brittain France & Ireland King Defender of the faith & in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & Thirty Six I Jonathan Martin of Thredingworth in the County of Leicester yeom being in health of body & of Sound & disposing Mind & memory Praised be God Do Make & ordain this my last Will & Testament in maner & form following: that is to say first & principly I Comend my Soule into the hands of almighty God my Creator hoping that through the merits of Death & Passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour & Redeemer to have Everlasting life & my Body I Comit to the Earth to be Decently buried at the Descresion of my Executrix & Trustee herein after Named & as Touching & Concerning the Disposall of all Such worldly or temperall Estate which it hath pleased God to bestowe upon me I Give Device & Bequeath the Same to my son Enoch Martin whom I make my full & Soul Executrix of all my Goods Chatels & Credets whatsoever & I Do hereby nominate & apointe my loving Friend Benjamen Simes Jun overseer of this my Last will & Testament Desireing him to ade & asist my Executrax my mind and will for his pains that he shall have five Shillings & I Do hereby revoke & Make voide all earlier & former Wills & testaments by me heretofore made in witness thereof by the Said Jonathan Martin to this last Will & Testment have hereunto set my hand & Seal the Day & year first above writen Signed Sealed published & Decalred by the above named Jonathan Parker for & as his Last will & testament in the presence of us whose names are here underwritten & who have subscribed our names in his Presence

Benjamin Simmes the within named Overseer was Sworn Admor with the Will annexed to Jonathan Martin late of Thredingworth for the sole use of Enoch Martin Sole Extor named in the will his being incapable by reason of weakness in his Intellect to take upon him the Execution of the same this 10th Day of February 1738
