In the Name of God Amen I John Marter of Ripley in the County of Surry being in perfect mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament strictly revoking all former Wills made by me or for my use that is to say ffirst I commend my Soul unto God who gave it and my Worldly Affairs I mean to dispose of as follows namely ffirst I do hereby Appoint my Brother Robt Marter my whole and sole Executor to see the following Legacies paid which shall be hereafter named namely to William Bolton Son of Henry Bolton of Ripley in the County of Surry aforesaid I give and bequeath the Sum of Ten Pounds of lawful Money of England to be paid to him by the said Robt Marter within Six Months after my decease secondly I give and bequeath to Mary ffarley of Ockham in the County of SurryWife of James ffarley I give and bequeath the Sum of three Pounds of lawful Money of England next I give to Mary Marter of Ripley my Sister of Ripley in the County of Surry aforesaid the Interest of the Money which may remain after the Legacies and all other Expences shall be Paid for the Term of her natural life the Money to be deposited in the said Robt Marter’s Hands and the said money to go to Robt Marter after the decease of my Sister Mary Signed in the Presence of us in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and four John Marter Witnesses John Boltons mark X James Goodchild
